Description
Twenty years of free-lance illustration have given me strong independent planning and organizational skills. The need to meet commission deadlines while working alone requires excellent self-discipline and the ability to plan one's schedule several weeks in advance. I have illustrated over thirty published books since I began work as a free-lance illustrator in 1998. During this time I have worked with publishing houses throughout Europe and other parts of the world, and have learned a great deal about children's literature and the relationship of narrative to art. As a result of my illustration work, I have had thirteen exhibitions to date, including eight within the U.K and five in Edinburgh.
